Come, Friday, May 15th, we are going to Blaine, MN. We have officially received an Open team bid for Westerns. The UPA site has the competition listed, as well as other details about the weekend.
There will be a meeting this week to plan fundraisers. Plan for a car wash on any non-rainy Saturday from here on out. Stay posted for other opportunities.
Week of March 16
Practices this week will be Wed and Fri, 3:30 – 5:30.
Players – Be sure to get your jersey sizes to Spencer this week.
Grover Ultimate Madness
Churchill’s Open team worked it’s way into the championship bracket with a 2 – 2 finish on Saturday, and came away from the weekend with a 7th place finish! It was a tough weekend, due to cold & wet weather, early wake up times, and long drives. But at the same time, a great weekend for learning to work as a team, and – especially on Sunday – for putting into practice the zone defense they’ve been working on with Spencer.
The team: Amar, Andrew HV, Cale, Christine, Ian, Jacob, Jordan, Kyle, Mike, Bofto, Peter, Ryan, Trevor and Zack.
Thanks to the parents who helped with driving, “setting up camp”, and general support for this team.
Practices this week
There will be practice this week on Wednesday and Friday, after school. Trevor will have the player forms at practice for anyone still needing one.
Friday Practice March 6
It’s a no school day, but we’re still having practice. Meet on the fields at 3:00.
First week of March…
Practices this week are Wednesday and Friday, be ready to start at 3:30.
Our first spring tournament: We’re planning to take a team to Grover Ultimate Madness, in Forest Grove, OR.
Sat/Sun, March 14 & 15.
We need to know NOW if you will be attending. Please email back to team@chsultimate.com and let us know if you’re going. Cost is $30 for the weekend, which covers tournament fee and transportation. We will probably travel up and back each day, as it is near Portland.
Also, forms and fees are due this week.
