Cold Turkey/Fall Ultimate

There’s been talk that people are ready to play some 09-10 Churchill Ultimate. Ian and Trevor are planning some practices that will start in November. In preparation for that, there will be a meeting at school in the next couple of weeks. We will be looking at jersey ideas, and plan our options for fall and spring — this will be a great time to start recruiting friends to play, too.
In the meantime, there is a weekend for you to put on your calendar. Corvallis Ultimate is planning Cold Turkey again this fall. The dates they are looking at are Nov. 7-8, although the dates are not confirmed at this point. This will be a two day HS tournament, on the OSU campus. We are planning to take a Churchill team, and more information will go out by email and on this site as soon as it is definite.
If you’re planning to play this year, but have not been on the Churchill email list in the past, please send an email to team@chsultimate.com and note that you’d like to be added to the email list. We are collecting both student and parent email addresses.
Looking ahead, the Spring season will continue to be our emphasis. We will definitely travel to Burlington, WA for Spring Reign, will defend our title of Oregon state champs at the UPA sponsored OHSUR, and we plan to have a bid for HS Westerns which will also be in Burlington in May, 2010. So, keep your skills up by throwing when you can, and we’ll plan to see you all in a couple of weeks.

Churchill came back strong today, winning all three games with a good
margin, and earned the 9th spot in the tournament overall.
And we give a big congratulations to South Eugene for their
exceptional performance, finishing 2nd in the tournament!
Way to go Eugene youth ultimate!

the fun of ultimate with some new recruits.
